This is my Aqua One Mini Reef 90 Litre upgraded from a established 65 litre AIO tank.

 

 

Equipment:

- Aqua One Mini Reef 90 Litre with sump

- Maxspect Gyre 130

- Tunze Comline nano 9001

- Tunze nano ATO

- Ai Prime HD lights

Corals:

- Hammerhead

- Duncan

- Torch

- Open brain

- Frogspawn

FIsh

- Decora Firefish

- Coral beauty

- Bi-colour Blenny

- A naughty, bully clown isolated for now in the sump

Inverts

- Coral banded shrimp

- Peppermint shrimp

- Nassarius snails

Just an update:

I transferred the rest of my corals to the new tank.

I was waiting for a mini cycle - but i don't think it happened or if did – it was quick.

The Nyos started skimming after an hour of setting up. It's been consistent in producing green tea like (with solids) skimmate – I've been emptying the collection cup every 3-4 days. As it's still breaking-in I have not tuned it yet. The air intake is fully open and water height adjusted to be just under the collection cup. Once I feel like it's broken-in, I'l start tuning it to hopefully get a dryer skim.
