I've noticed a lot has changed as far as lighting and live rock! The availability and quality of live rock has taken a severe nose dive with all of the current restrictions on collection. So my question is... what's the best live rock out there? I've decided to definitely go the live route but from what I've seen online there's not a lot of options. How is the rock from Premium Aquatics? The YouTube videos I've seen of a place called Liverocknreef look pretty amazing. Has anyone had experience with them? I love light weight, super porous rock like the Pukani rock I've seen dry but I like seeing the diversity of the critters that come in off the live rock. Link to comment
Clown79 Posted October 2, 2016 Share Posted October 2, 2016 Welcome back. There have been a ton of changes. What size tank are you dealing with? I'm not sure what the best LR is. I'm in cda so I buy whats available. Most ppl today get dry rock and then dose ammonia to start the cycle. Its the safest bet. Some do dry rock with a bit of LR. Led lighting has taken off and depending on the size of tank will depend on what options you have. Link to comment
