As more and more indo torches are coming in, you'd think the pricing will come down, but nope, it stays sky high. sigh. ngl. this is one thing i hate about this hobby. someones SPS looks a little different than another and boom it has some lame name and price goes up. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

It really is a tossup between the two. I nearly got the 50. Quote Share this post Link to post

The set up guides are horrible, the user interface is borderline impossible to understand, it’s impossible to get help anywhere, there’s no resource guides basically except for YouTube videos that rarely are relevant to your scenario, and overall I think it’s drastically overpriced for what it is. If you really want to controller don’t even consider getting a GHL. expect a classified ad soon. Past Roger, yer dumb. Basically I was combining two functions when I didn't need to. So it basically doubled the programming needed and making it almost impossible to work. I stripped all the code broke it down to do what I needed at the minimum and it works perfectly. I'm annoyed at how easy it is to mess this thing up and the lack of simple presets, but if you keep it simple, it actually works just fine. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

TheKleinReef Posted October 25, 2020 Alk: 8.5 ca: 470 mg: 1480 sg: 1.026 temp: 78.8 dosing all for reef, so that’s the big three all in one. Curious on your opinions on those numbers. TM pro salt mixes way lower than that so I correct after it mixes. Quote Share this post Link to post

TheKleinReef Posted November 2, 2020 Anyone know of white macro algae reactor that does not have an attached pump to it? Planning on using my manifold for the supply. Quote Share this post Link to post

farkwar Posted November 3, 2020 You can buy a Tunze Eco Chic light And just make your own on the cheap Use a TLF Phosban 550 reactor Get white stick on vinyl from Amazon Any clear reactor, really You can even put white sticky vinyl on the Tunze, if you don't like the purple and black. It doesn't look as bad as it looks, really. It comes with a weak 200 gph pump, and about $50 worth of silicone tubing Quote Share this post Link to post
TheKleinReef Posted December 2, 2020 ya boy got the coronavirus. This week has been rough in two ways: 1. I feel like trash 2. I've spent too much money being home all day. anyways, pics. garf 12_2 by roger klein, on Flickr RMK_1439 by roger klein, on Flickr RMK_1438 by roger klein, on Flickr spongodes 12_2 by roger klein, on Flickr setosa 12_2 by roger klein, on Flickr slimer 12_2 by roger klein, on Flickr kat 12_2 by roger klein, on Flickr I'll grab a FTS when I'm not coughing like mad. recent additions to the dosing regimen: sponge power brightwell AA (porobably gonna drop acropower, doesn't seem to be doing much for me, and at it's price point that's not gonna fly. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
TheKleinReef Posted January 26 bit of an algae bloom at the moment, likely from over feeding since it looked so sterile for so long. I hooked up a carbon/gfo reactor to the manifold and ordered a clean up crew. I'm in dire need of LPS (torches, hammer, bubble, goni) but oh my god why tf are they so expensive now. $350 for a 2 headed torch? when did the LPS price jump? of any one has any they'd be willing to sell/ship me, I'd be very grateful. cause i'm not about to spend $350 on a torch that would have been worth $50 a few years ago. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
TheKleinReef Posted February 4 algae seems to be slowly receding thanks to a new CUC, GFO, and some manual labor. Ordered more from top shelf aquatics too. (TSA Sabertooth Mille, Paletta Pink tip, TSA candle light stag, TSA bali blue slimer). I'm also running TSA's radion schedule and it's very very very blue. Just put an order in at LA for a indo torch, ORA red goni, and ORA skyline granulosa). Pics tonight, if I'm motivated enough lol 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
