ps2cho
I am currently running a 27w PAR30 that is designed more for corals I believe...It grows the Chaeto, but not very fast. It only grows it from fist size to grapefruit size in 4-6 months. i've only harvested it twice in a year...and I keep nitrates and Po4 around 5ppm and 0.04-0.08 respectively. Is it just a bulb replacement with something like this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/E27-15W-21W-27W-36W-54W-LED-Coral-Reef-Plant-Grow-Light-Fish-Tank-Aquarium-Lamp/401153183633?_trksid=p2047675.c100012.m1985&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D37470%26meid%3Db2ded6ee19ec42cc8687e233d18a57ed%26pid%3D100012%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D141199784741 Or any other suggestions? Not looking to break the bank for a minor impact... Link to comment
Tamberav
Coral compulsions refugium par 30 works well. I tried the cheap ebay one and hated it. They are weak. i can't promise light is your issue though, there could be other factors slowing its growth such as trace minerals. Link to comment

vegasgundog
Honestly, I diy'd a light box from hardware and velcroed it to the back of my 29bc with a 40 or 60 watt equallivent cfl bulb and almost once a month I was splitting my cheato and taking about 2/3 of it to lfs for credit. spectra
I just use a cheap LED home depot light in a cheap metal clip on reflector. I think it was under 25 bucks for everything. I run the light 24/7 and was trying to get rid of the chaeto as I have a lot of macros in there. Well it just keeps appearing so let it go. went from a few strings to a softball in a few months.
