Not here France just shut it's border to the UK 🤣🤣

Had Boris taken action a month ago instead of honking his nose and touring on his unicycle it might not have been necessary.

Not a country outside of china or south korea has a chance at containing something with an r value of 2... Chances are border restrictions at this point will be pointless, it's likely all-over europe and well-established across the puddle by now. (IIRC Denmark and Norway are already monitoring confirmed clusters)

Looking good! Did you say the new tank was already set up and running at the new place or not yet?

The new tank is not running yet, or even set up yet.  We decided to forge ahead with some interior paint job and all-new flooring for the basement (where the tank will be) before we move.

That said, I've been curing my rocks since maybe August (?), then they were moved to LFS live rock stock tub while we pack up this house the last two months or so.  Hopefully, that's enough curing/maturing to jump start the system.

Got it. It doesn't look like you have too much rock in the current tank, but will you move what you have in there along with the new rock?

I just did that with my tank move and it went extremely well. Corals haven't missed a beat.

Ideally, I’m cutting the corals and replanting in the new tank. They have quite a bit of vermetid snails on them. I may use them in the sump temporarily, not sure yet.

someone asked about the scoly’s?  No?  Here they are anyway.
the big one is practically “spilling” over the side of its original skeleton nowadays

Those really are going to be fabulous when they grow up.

If it’s just vermitids, my vote would be to crush as many manually as possible, and then move your old rock over (either to the display or sump).

I’m think that doing so will minimize risk of tank transfer crash and maximized the speed at which your corals will settle in and take off again.

You might want to close the register near the stairs to help with evaporation, awesome location and nice floors XD

Thanks, we’re excited about the new flooring, you should have seen the brown shag carpet that we removed 😂!
The register at the bottom of the stairs is just a transfer grille, letting air goes back to the furnace room.  The supply is on the opposite side wall, I think we’ll be ok on evap

happy new year. This will be the end of this thread. I will begin the process of the waterbox setup in the coming days, weeks. This tank is being used as a temporary holding as the house wasn’t quite ready for the new tank to be up and running in time for the move.  The tank move happened on Wednesday; it has been a success (so far).

Wait. That’s not the new tank.... did you just bring it up from the basement?
