Swapped out one blue plus t5 bulb for a coral plus. It makes white balance adjustment a little bit more natural. 

 

and for Friday 13th FTS - full of crap and floaties as I just blew things around before wc last night.

I feel like when I blow the crap out it's almost like feeding the tank. When is that pretty new coral expected?

Next week or the following week because I also requested an extra frag that is freshly cut, that piece needs a week to heal. 
 

On to the update:

In preparation for the move, the selective deconstruction/removal of corals had begun. Here are the progress shots

 

yesterday afternoon

 

last night before bed: took down the red planet and the large no name colony, mounted one blue tenuis colony to a stand base, and clipped a few leggy branches for frag plugs. 

 

today after a visit to the lfs

 

still more to be done.

I’m gonna use a razor blade to kinda “lift” them off of the tank floor. Most of the zoas are growing on a layer of coralline on bottom glass. The tough one will be the sunset monti, of which I have no problem losing some. Just need enough to put on a few frag plugs.  I may not even keep the sunset in the next tank, tbd.

What in the world are you doing to this tank! 😪... stupid moving homes😅😅.. was scrolling back to see if I could find a photo of my favorite time frame on your tank. (When you had those giant montis 😊) but annoying the links that were there for Instagram dont so up anymore🤔..

take a look at the first post, it should give you the idea of the general timeline of tank progression. 😉

 

I think the peak of monti island was back in 2017-2018, what do you think?

Yea end of 18 for sure..... that's sweet I like that first post.. really neat to see how the tank changed🤙🍻

Update the ric’s photo above with Flickr instead to avoid image compression. 
 

and here’s how the frag rack is looking as of today. The 6-pack on the left and the blue ric are going out at some point.  
the remaining is my personal stash.  I couldn’t part with the ora bird of paradise completely, so I kept a small frag while the rest also went to LFS.

The new place closed already. We get the keys 11/29.  Waiting to close on our current one.

That'd be amazing if it turned rainbow.  can't "crank" up the T5....altho I might be able to lower down the fixture another 0.5-1" toward the water line.    

 

Once I frankenstein the new T5/led bar hybrid for the new tank, that should boost PAR by DOUBLE!  So I'm looking forward to that.  I'm still going back and forth between whether I want the ATI as my T5, or going with Aquaticlife Hybrid with T5s on the outside (led down the center).

These top down iphone photos turned out rather a bit flat, not a lot of pop. I tried using only two T5 bulbs for lighting - one blue plus & one coral plus.

I like it. So much better than the all blue photo's that I can not always even see what the coral is.
