so i switched to a bare bottom tank

 

I have a 6 bulb ATI fixure and my tank is 24" deep... which coral would you suggest to make a "carpet" On the bottom?

 

1) Zoas

2) Montipora (encrusting)

3) Ricordea

Depends what your flow is like.....

GSP. it's cheap and grows faster than the other 3 you listed. If you're worried about its invasiveness, it's not that hard to scrape off if you keep it growing where you want it.
