New lighting for 75 gallon

Hello, I have a standard 48" 75 gallon mixed reef aquarium currently lit by 2 reefbreeder photon 16" fixtures. I'm contemplating getting the kessil ap700. I loved the kessil I used to have on my old tank and am wondering if you think it would be enough light. My sps are in upper half now and I run my photon at 60 percent power. I think the kessil will have better coloration.

I'm thinking of getting that light also for a Reefer 350,the videos I have watched on it says it's good. I have a Radion also but wanted a switch when I buy new tank

Better colouration of corals or better colour rendering of everything in the tank?

You could supplement with T5 to reduce shadows and improve coral colour.

For less than the cost of the AP700 you could add three AW 160s to your existing lights. Run your Reef breeders front to back and put them between the Kessils.

You have lots of options.

I just went with T5s on my 75gallon. Love the results so far and I personally like the more natural appearance of T5s versus the extreme blues of LED.

Me too! Imo t5's just whip the sh!t out of leds for color and growth. I was running two rb's fixture over my 75g but I'll be resetting that tank up using t5's. The only leds will be rb's used for moonlighting.

LEDs need not have an extreme blue look. On the Reefbreeders you have separate control over the blue and white channels.

As to what looks natural, I have not seen a single T5 tank that looks anything like what I experienced diving the Great Barrier Reef. 'Natural' is very much in they eye of the beholder. FWIW, I'm not a fan of blue tanks either. I like something a lot closer to what an old school 10K MH delivers.

I actually run my tank pretty white and close to natural light. But from my experience with the older kessils, and what I saw at the lfs, the colors of the coral and fish still pop really nicely.

Having to change out bulbs just got old on my first tank and after that I switched to less really early on. I'm just wondering what better options I should look into. Maybe even used 360 we.

I don't know that I've ever seen a tank with Kessils over it.

If you are going all LED, I would go for the setup that gives you the most separate light sources for the money. That's why I suggested the 160s.
