Ryansmith0619
Hey guys I am new to the saltwater hobby and would like some feedback on how I did with the aquascaping. I am planning on adding coral to the tank once it is done cycling, so I wanted to know if the rock is placed correctly for coral. Link to comment
Mojado
Some folks like the 1/3 rule of composition and apply it to aquascaping. You should look into it and see if you like it. It can make your reef more naturally looking. Link to comment
charnelhouse
There is no real "correct" rock setup for coral. It is very dependant on what kind of coral you plan on keeping. That being said, aquascape is more about aesthetics that are pleasing to your eye. Coral is then placed accordingly in areas that are appropriate to the type of coral. If you plan on keeping specific corals, research their requirements and build your 'scape to suit. Otherwise build it to your liking then research what kinds of corals are happy in your particular setup. Personally I think your 'scape as it sits is a little "lumpish" and you should look into the rule of 1/3's and this site's aquascaping forum for ideas . Link to comment
