charnelhouse Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 I'm seriously considering an Electric Indigo for my tank once the ich fallow period is up. Does anybody have experience with these in particular or ORA captive bred pseudos in general? Do they eat bristleworms? I have a dense bristleworm population and would like it thinned out some. What about pods? Will they help keep them under control too? Due to my ich breakout I lost my citron clown goby who did a lot of work keeping the pod population under control.
CronicReefer Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 I keep an ORA Springer's Dottyback and he absolutely destroyed my pod population. My two clowns couldn't even put a dent in them but within a week the dottyback ate all of them. As far as bristle worms go I've never seen him directly eating one but I know they are supposed to be worm hunters as well. He does dig around in the sand bed from time to time, appearing to look for food, but nothing dramatic outside of creating a burrow.

I've considered the Springeri too, but the Electric Indigo is incredible in it's contrast.

Yeah I agree it's a beautiful fish. If you put two of the same together they usually will become a pair in a similar way clownfish do.

I'm going to rehome my flasher wrasse and that would give me a pair of ocellaris, a pair of E. myersi and a pair of these.... hmmm....
