No but it makes it easier to keep them in large quantities. Between the Dragonpig and Zorak I order 600 or so now every 2 weeks roughly.😂

So I will probably just start ordering 1000 when I can use the 20 to store them.

Well,Jables finally got his ultimate meal,he finally got the cleaner shrimp. Now to be fair, not sure if it died first and he scavenged it or he cold blooded it,but this morning when I went downstairs the cleaner was no where to be seen....except in Jables cave being clutched by the armored dragon himself. Ocean Life.

Also, part of this, when I looked into the cave, the first thing I saw was the cleaner shrimps upper half and the Jables holding it so it was facing me and I'm not kidding,he looked like he was mocking with it, he quickly moved it aside and stared at me straight up lol. This creature is wild.

On another topic, I just ordered a screen top that is hinged so I can lift just left or right sides for access to 75 gallon for Dragonpig.

Also considering getting a sink cabinet from home depot and using that as the stand for it.

Maybe some thin plywood on top and some drawer liner on top of it to keep the tank nice and square so to speak.

Tank seems to miss the skimmer, although it was starting to microbubble in the tank some the last month or so. The new ones are $75! Still a good deal but mine was $43 4 years ago.

Im excited to try the eshopps skimmer out though.

Got the tank more or less done or at least ready for living in. Still need to add more branches and rock work, background and cleanup crew. So far I have earth worms and super worms burrowing in the tank. Soon I'll add isopods springtails etc.

The substrate is a mix of organic natural potting soil, sand, cococoir, and some plantation soil, also some dried leaves. So far so good it seems.

Also ordered a 36" dual t5 12%/6.5 daylight  fixture and upgraded the basking lights to a 100w and 75 respectively. 20190720_213650.thumb.jpg.7173d9b8226b3baa3a0e34533bac548b.jpg

Some succulents from work I got on the cheap.

Thanks! It was like $80 from home depot. It has another stack of shelves we put in the garage for extra storage out there. This turned into an interesting budget build.

The bulk of the furniture is in today! Now waiting on my dual t5s to come in Wednesday.  The 20 gallon is now a roach container, and Dragonpig looks super happy in the bioactive setup. Now to add some isopods and springtails!

Hell ya!! Looks really good 👍. The succulents add a nice touch as well. I have to many side projects. I wanna get my kingsnake done all bio active. Haven't had the time or money.

I found this picture of my first chameleons enclosure that my friend and I built well, technically the 2nd but the first was really a temp holding one. IMG_20190722_215909_083.thumb.jpg.ec5436391bd1debb9cf47ceb57d8b8dd.jpg

I saw pics on Instagram and thought I sent a post but I guess I didnt.  How does the substrate deal with humidity?  I'd love to able to do something like this.

So the substrate was a mix of stuff and so far during the day its around 35-40 at night 50-55 so nothing I'm too worried about. As long as the top stays dry and the bottom layers have some moisture it should stay good. Theres breeders though that breed these things outside in Florida though so they can actually handle it better that most think,or so it would seem anyways.
