Jimmeh Lee
Hey guys, long time no see! I've had my 3152 top off set up and running since I started my Fusion 10 back in February/March, and it's worked perfectly up until now. When it switches on, it will make this knocking noise, and the impeller just shifts back and forth. I've seen this happen on my freshwater tanks with the aquaclear filter's impellers, but giving them a tap would fix the issue. So far I've tried that, shaking the pump, filling the top off reservoir, and making sure there were no air bubbles in the pump. The only thing that's worked is unplugging it and plugging it back in a few times, but then it will only actually work the first and time it runs. I'm helpless over here. lol Link to comment

I contacted tunze and we tried trouble-shooting with new pumps (they sent me three, all had the same issue) and finally they sent me a new sensor and it worked like a charm. I'd reach out to Roger at tunze and tell him what's going on. Your ATO should still be under warranty. Link to comment
Jimmeh Lee
Thank you very much! I'll have to clean up the sensor very well before reaching out. Link to comment
ReefWeeds
Thank you very much! I'll have to clean up the sensor very well before reaching out. It might be that that is not it! But that clicking noise is definitely the pump saying "no more water is allowed to go through" Link to comment
Jimmeh Lee
I gotcha. I didn't even think of that, since it doesn't run prior to starting the clicking. Link to comment
