Hello!

Here is my Biocube 29 thread. http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/366723-srpntmages-modified-biocube-29/

I just got, and am starting to purchase equipment for a Red Sea Reefer 250 (54g with 11g sump). I know this is a Nano tank forum, but everyone here has been helpful and knowlegable, so I figured I waould ask your opinions.

My current list of equipment for the Reefer is:

Vortech M1 return pump

Maxspect Gyre 130 powerhead

Eshopps S150 skimmer

2 BRS Deluxe media reactors

Does everything above look good so far? The Skimmer is a bit oversized, but I got a good deal. Should it be ok? I am also wondering about the BRS Reactors, any opionions about how well they work?

I am thinking about either two Kessil a260w lights or the new Kessil ap700 panel light for lighting. ANy opinions? I also am looking at AI, Maxspect and Ecotech.

I'm planning a mixed reef, with a medium to high bioload.

Thanks for any help or opionions you can give!

Looks good! I'm getting stuff together or picked out for a new reef as well. Have you looked at any of Daves Nanobox led/hybrids.

If you want you can check out my thread, i have that exact tank, And i highly doubt youll be able to fit the 2 reactors in the sump unless you mount it to the wall of the stand or something, not much room to work with down there..

Yeah, I'm going to mount the reactors on the wall or inside the cabinate somewhere. Not much room in the sump after adding a skimmer of that size.

I second looking into Dave's Nanobox lights. I have a retro kit in my Biocube 29 and I love it. Definitely get the bluefish mini controller with it.

I went with an ATI retro from him, Well worth it. The ballast in the Sunpower is better as is actually having individual reflectors for the T5. A tad spendier than the hybrid but worth it imo

Hmmm, those are nice. About $300 more than a Kessil ap700 if I went quad/quad. I honestly have no idea how much light I really even need. I am planning mixed reef, but would like a good variety of SPS up top.
