WRX
Once you get water in there, please comment on how loud the drain is. I'm thinking about upgrading my IM10 and really like the looks of this tank. 1 Quote Link to comment

davy jones
I have the Reefer 250 but plan on getting a reefer nano at somepoint for my Girlfriend! Love the reefer tanks, once you adjust the downflow to match your return pump the thing is SILENT. The glass is amazingly clear. Ill keep my eye on y our thread going forward 1 Quote Link to comment

Strange spot and hard to fill. -Dave the only thing that really bothers me is the size of the reservoir, but I don't mind filling it up every two days if I have to. Once you get water in there, please comment on how loud the drain is. I'm thinking about upgrading my IM10 and really like the looks of this tank. the store I purchased this has a 170 up and running and its very quiet.red sea thought this tank through, dont worry. William
Anyway you could post more pics of the sump? How much. Space is left in the cabinet? Is the back of the tank clear or all black? 1 Quote Link to comment

North Borders
Nice! Another Nano owner! I own this tank too, but have the black stand. I'm hoping to start up a build thread soon. Not to hijack your thread, but to answer a couple of questions people asked: Back of the tank has a black coating on it that seems to me to be kind of like window tint. When looking from the back into the tank through the overflow box it is transparent, but looks like you're looking through maybe like 5% tinting. As far as space left in cabinet: I have the APEX 'brain' mounted along with the APEX probe holder. You could probably mount the EB8 in the cabinet, but space will be extremely tight. I also noticed a little bit of condensation in the cabinet in the first couple of weeks of ownership, so I opted to mount the EB8 in a side cabinet and run extension cords into the cabinet for the return, skimmer, brain and heater. The cabinet interior is tall and you can easily hide cords on the ceiling out of sight. I have the new Aquamaxx WS-1 skimmer and a Cobalt Neo-Therm 100w. (FYI, if you're looking for a heater, they have been priced incorrectly on Amazon for a couple of months and they're currently only like $36 for the 100W...everywhere else is selling them for 80+. I picked up three of them at that price.) There's a little bit of room left in the skimmer chamber with that set up and I could probably run a larger skimmer, like a Reef Octopus. But, you could also probably fit a GFO reactor in there along with the WS-1. (which I might do when my tank matures more) The reservoir isn't too big of a deal so far. I fill it up about every other day. I picked up a Tunze Osmo-Nano and have been using that as a top off for my quarantine tank, but plan on moving that over to the main display when I'm done with the QT. I've seen a couple of guys run the ATO into the stock gravity ATO, so essentially ATO for your ATO . You'd probably be able to get a week of top off or more out of that set up. How are you liking the AI Prime? I nearly pulled the trigger on that light, but wound up going with a Nanobox Duo. Followed and cheers! -North 3 Quote Link to comment

Is the back of the tank clear or all black? north borders did a great explanation on the space in the cabinet, you are left with very limited footprint space when the sump is inside the cabinet. Would love to get a red sea tank they are just SO EXPENSIVE. for what you get they are well priced tanks, great quality! Great tank; can't wait to see where this goes! thank you, will post more pics soon when I get back to California. Quote Link to comment
davy jones
In case either of you are wondering (idk if it would work on a nano but )the film on the back of the tanks is very easy to remove. Just take a razer, cut where you want to keep the film (for me i left film to cover the back of the overflow) and pull. No residue left anywhere. 1 Quote Link to comment
iPhone
WOW! Finally got the chance to log in and update this thread. The last two weeks have been so stressful for me! Had to put down my 11 year old cat that I've had since I was 10, never knew loosing a pet would touch me so much both emotionally and financially. Work has been crazy and everything else in between. Good news is,yesterday I came to the casino with $80 and left with $1,200 so I got some goods online that should arrive hopefully before thanksgiving. Tank should be filled with water as soon as my package arrives! Just a small update for whoever cares. 2 Quote Link to comment

Just went through the same thing with my dog about a month ago i know it's rough but it gets better. Yeah I feel you,it's nothing fun.It does get better though,I'm feeling fine now. Yeah that was my 2nd best trip so far out of the dozen or so times I've went. I play rookie style though haha, once I see red or black hit 4+ times in a row I go bet on opposite colors and if I loose just double up until I win. Me and a friend did get lucky on craps and both hit $900 on field 12 Quote Link to comment

iPhone
finally got to setting everything up,tank should be full of water tonight! one of the bulkhead nuts cracked on me so I have to contact red sea about purchasing a new one.It should be fine and hold for now. If anyone has one of these tanks or plans on getting one be careful the bulkheads crack very easy if you over tighten them. Rinsed the sand and once the tank is full of water I will be working on the scape. Kinda pissed off at BRS because I ordered 30 pounds of reef saver rock and asked them to give me small pieces for a 18x18x18 and I got 4 big pieces of rock that I can't do anything with... 1 Quote Link to comment
PieMan2k
You might take a chisel to the pieces of rock. Plus u can use the extra pieces to hide glue or make small islands if you want. 2 Quote Link to comment

iPhone
Tank filled, salt mixed in. The one thing holding me back now is this issue with the rocks, tried breaking them apart but its honestly easier said than done. Oh,and I forgot to order Dr.Tims one and only. Quote Link to comment
