Feather Duster Getting Messed With

So i have had my feather duster for about a week. He was fine, but this morning i found my pistol shrimp trying to get him off the rock he was attached to and succeeded before I could intervene. I moved him to a deferent part of the tank and he opened right away but my small red hermits are still crawling on him they go up the back, over the opening and down the front and I'm just worried he is getting stressed, but... he is open almost always, what should i do?
