VW_TDI_02 Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 This is what I would go by. http://www.home-fix.com/d-i-y-guides/tips/electrical/wiring-a-plug Better diagram: http://www.allaboutcircuits.com/textbook/reference/chpt-2/wiring-color-codes-infographic/
slowngreen Posted September 24, 2015 Author Posted September 24, 2015 I just opened it up and its only a 2 wire deal, just happens to have 3 wires coming out of the cord haha. Must not of had any two wire cords left when they made it
Benny314 Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Brown is live, blue is neutral/ground and green/yellow stripped is your earth. If your in the states you guys only have 2 pin plugs, ones live and ones ground so ignore the earth.
Murphs_Reef Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 To be fair, the very question its self scares the Christ out of me.. If you need to ask what colours are what.. Leave it mate. But if you must, as your in the states ignore ( cut back) yellow green, brown live, blue neutral.
