philtheso
I recently got my new IM Nuvo 20 up and running and was crossing my fingers hoping not to need a chiller, but unfortunately that doesn't seem to be an option. Currently the temperature is peaking out at 84.5 F though the ambient room temperature peaks at 80. Any suggestions on keeping the temps down without breaking the bank? Link to comment

If so, just buy a fan and put it on a cheap timer. That'll take it down 4* easily if you aim it at the water! I recommend the JBJ C-Breeze since it clamps onto the side of the tank Link to comment
waltersreef
I added a zoo med aqua cooling fan to my Nuvo 38 a month ago. Works great and easily brought temp down 3-4 degrees. I run together with my heater and temp stays very stable (swings 1 degree max). I also found the stock IM return pump adds a lot of heat to the tank. I switched for a scisse pump last summer and that saved me a few degrees as well. Link to comment

I also don't have a controller and would have to manually turn on/off the fan as needed. Link to comment
