Eshopp Nano Skimmer

I'm wanting to check this skimmer out for my Nuvo 16 as I hear it will fit in the second chamber without any issues. My only concern is the noise.. If anyone can chime in on this and let me know if it's dead silent or noisy, that would be appreciated!

It's in the living room and as it stands, my tank makes zero noise. I had an Aqua C Remora on the tank but again, that was much too noisy for our liking.. I'm party blaming the spray injection method is the cause, so maybe these needle wheel skimmers will be much more quiet.

Thanks

I have the eshopps nano and it's quiet.i also have the tunze 9001 and it's dead silent

The eshopps,I had to remove the sponge on the bottom, because it kept getting dirty and making the skimmer overflow into the collection cup

I have a ESHOPPS HOB right now and I love the thing, it makes hardly any noise. You have to be right up next to it and then you can hear a faint hum of the motor but other than that it makes no sound when sitting in the room. Once I get my sump running I'll be getting one of their in sump skimmers (the ones with a cone though)

Is it the PSK-75 skimmer? I was curious about those as well. I have no doubts it would be quieter than the Remora since it doesn't use a spray injection method.

I have the Nano Skimmer right now. the only problem i had with it is you have to let it go for a couple of days before the micro bubbles will go away. after that its fine.

All good man, I sold it and made all my money back. It just had that water hissing noise that I found annoying. Probably because I'm not use to my tank making ANY noise whatsoever.

Sweet glad you did hate selling something that you would be stuck with!

I have the PSK-100 HOB skimmer and I love it, took about a day to break in but once it did it's been a work horse ever since then and is very quiet, you have to get close to it to hear the hum of the motor. I'm going to be doing a sump once I get home with overflow box and I'll then upgrade to their new cone in sump skimmer.

The only thing I did with it is put plumbers tape on the 2 parts that unscrew when you clean the pump just for peace of mind.
