Let Go Of My Thermometer!

I accidentally knocked off my suction cup thermometer whilst cleaning and forgot about it, leaving it to float around the top of my nanocube.

 

I guess it eventually found its way to the top of my LR where my rock anemone resides and he took a liking to it. Which is fine.... But it makes reading the temperature a bit of a task and he really has a grip on it! Any tips on reclaiming my thermometer?

gently push the tentacles away from it, then pull it free. make sure to wear clean latex gloves, some people are sensitive to anemone stings.
