DurocShark
I'm kinda liking this, looking for opinions. Note the yardstick for scale (sorry, out of bananas). The tank is my 70 gallon at 36"x15"x30" (w/d/h). Front view: Top view: A quick video of the scape. It's not quite in focus. This stupid camera on my HTC One M8 sucks. I miss my Nokia Icon... pgrVII
I like the rock scape maybe use that small piece in the back to make a little arch between the two? Link to comment
DurocShark
reminds me of mine! A little, yeah. You got more plates though. My goals are: Lots of swimming room! Lots of open sand! Lots of holes for critters to hide/play/hunt in! Lots of places to stick coral. This tank being 30" tall, and only 36" long, I had to get creative. Two tallllllll islands seems to fit the bill. I like the rock scape maybe use that small piece in the back to make a little arch between the two? I'm kinda going back and forth on the arch thing. I'm afraid that would make the tank too crowded. I need to dummy it up and see... Link to comment

thecoralbeauty
Arches create lots of shadows. Are you planning on stocking things that like lower light? Also consider where powerheads might be located and what flow might be like in certain areas, especially if you're keeping mixed SPS/LPS. the biggest issue with my islands have been finding nice, low-flow places for my LPS Link to comment
DurocShark
With a tank this size, I doubt I'll have trouble creating quiet spots. Link to comment
DurocShark
I decided against it. I like the open space better than having arches. How come when you lay out a scape you like, then you carefully take it apart to glue it together, and the pieces don't go together the same? Grrrrrrrrrrrrr Link to comment
