SquishyFishy
We need to add a webcam while we are on vacation and would like to use the Blue Fish Mini to control the camera. My hubby is the tech guru and he assumes you just connect the camera cable into the pins on the Blue Fish, correct? Which pins? I see the screen captures of tanks on here....just want to be sure how to do it. Thanks Link to comment
jedimasterben
The pins on the min are power input for the leftmost two, then the rest of the top row is PWM out and the bottom row is is ground. There is no way to connect anything directly. You must use an IP camera that gives an MJPEG feed and then you log into the Bluefish app and then tell it the IP of the camera. Link to comment
SquishyFishy
Thanks Jedi!!!!!! I'll relay that to the guru! Does BF have a special page for cameras? Or where do you find that on the app. I'm having a great deal of trouble following the pathways to different features. Seems very complicated to me, but so far Todd has no problem. Link to comment
SpencerShepard
Please checkout this thread for more details on webcam setup: http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/349125-bluefish-webcam-setup/ I would highly recommend the D-link Cloud cameras, which you can buy at any major computer store for about $50.
