Would This Light Grow Chaeto

I would also vote no. Doesn't even look to be the preferred spectrum.

I used one of these years ago and it worked pretty well:

Make sure you can find bulbs first, I bought a huge pack of bulbs super cheap on amazon for it.

Best thing I used on my aquapod though was a cheap, mini florescent under cabinet light glued to the back of the tank. (peeled off the black back in that area). The cheato grew soooo unbelievably fast.

Something like this (but I found it at walmart I think for around $10, it was years ago so not sure if this is exact product but you get the idea): http://www.amazon.com/GE-Slimline-Fluorescent-Cabinet-10167/dp/B001ET6D8E

I bought something like this:

Except mine has like 20 LEDs.

If you go to my thread here you can see what it looks like:

Anyone think it is not enough or not right? I am curious now.

FYI, it worked out really well as far as design LOL. I was proud of myself. Almost looks like it was designed for it.

It looks like it might be bright enough for that application. I saw your post with the problems, maybe it's even too much light? I'd try backing it off ~5" and see what happens.
