clink51
Anyone ever use? would it work for a 57g? Is it awesome or does it suck.... Link to comment
smeagol108
I use one on a six gallon and its awesome! How deep is your tank>? I would say these work really well for shallower tanks but can't comment on how well they would work for like 18" deep tank. My sandbed is 9-10 inches from the light and i have no problem with my SPS (birds of paradise and blue cats paw) sitting on the sand bed. great features in an inexpensive light. Link to comment
Markburns43
Yeah would be okay if you had two of them and any higher light corals youll put to the top anyways. For the price and controls u get its a decent little light. Useing one on my 10 gallon and i have it dialed down some Link to comment
Markburns43
I mean you dont need two sorry. It would be lit up nicer imo. Depends on what you want in your tank? Link to comment
Lauraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I have one in a 24" deep tank and it is great I have sps in it. Link to comment
smeagol108
I have one in a 24" deep tank and it is great I have sps in it. I am glad to hear it is working good on 24" deep tank!! i havent met anyone using it on a deep tank yet so was curious how well it worked. Do you have to keep the SPS up high? Do you have newer more powerful model? (not even sure if it released yet). Curious what you have your settings on? (max/min). Like i said i have been using the 18 inch one on my fluval edge and love it, my blue channel is 100 but my white i only have on for four hours a day at 45 percent. thanks! Link to comment
Markburns43
I've been asking around as well can't seem to find a good answer or maybe there's twommany variables between tanks, I currently have the 18 on my standard 10 I was surprised by this light, and too hearnon a 24 inch deep tank assuming u sand taking up some inches that's impressive, would like too know what your settings are as well, for above poster^^ I have mine on 75 white 100 blue and run them both for about 11 hrs. Corals are happy. Just curious about sps, I have a birdsnest I got in horrible shape bleached but still green polyps on it its making a come back didn't knownif this light was capable of growing them? Link to comment

I have the sps in the top 1/4 of the tank. I have the original and I run it at max settings for 12 hours max intensity and 15 minute sunrise and sunset. Link to comment

Great news hydrogalaxy, I picked up the USA marine LED for my 26 gallon bowfront (24-36 inch model)- I think it is about 18 inches to the top of my sand bed. Mushrooms and zoos are doing great at the bottom, frogspawn has split already once after 2-3 months ~2/3 of the way down from the top. Trumpets are ~1/2 way down and open up nicely. Running lights near max 8hr a day, i suppose i could bump it up to 10-12hrs as well. I have tons of ledges at the top of the tank so I'd like to see how a lower light requiring SPS could do...
