Build My Led

Hi,

I am doing some research for new lights. I came across Build MY Led and was wondering what people think about the lights for those who use them. I will be setting up a seahorse tank and the tank is 24 x 12 x 24. So it's a deep tank gonna have lots of Macro algae and gorganias and a few zoes I think. Any suggestion will be grateful. thanks

Nice lights, although a bit pricey, with a very narrow form factor (look nice when hung), and are powerful enough that one might do it for you in the tank you propose. My personal "reef" favorite is the 20K.

thank you for you reply. I was looking at other lights and they all seem expensive. I was comparing to Kessil 360we at 400 and Nanobox Duo for 450 so at around 260 for the BML is reasonable to me anyway. Thanks again if anyone have any other options I can go with it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The price for the BML strip does not include any control - just on or off, and there is no ability to "tweak"/ adjust the color either. You don't really need any of that honestly, but those other fixtures do allow for it, hence the added cost...

The new 20k multi channel is out and i love it. With a controller anbd dimming cables you can completely control all 3 channels now. I have a 72 inch 20k mc on the front of my 150 gallon. I own 5 bml fixtures, all great quality.

do you know anything about the controller? I am not using an Apex and hence need a controller . I was wondering it it will work with a Bluefish as i like the wifi ability of the bluefish. From what i could see with the controller offered on the BML site it doesn't allow a non wired controls. Thanks for your input

Their controller is pretty basic stuff, but I've only read about it.
