SethWolf
I am Comtemplating on either getting a nanocube or a 20g tank and putting a refugium on it as a filter. Link to comment
fishy610
I'd start out with a 10 gallon AGA. A refugium is not really a filter, it is more of a food/nutrition source for you tank inhabitants where you can grow macroalgae. The filter will be your live rock and maybe a skimmer. Also keep in mind that the biggest investment in a reef tank will be the lighting. You want at least 4-8 watts/gallon for a reef and wider fixtures usually cost a whole lot more. Link to comment
