righttirefire Posted February 24, 2015 Share Posted February 24, 2015 A couple weeks ago I bought a 1/2 portion of chaeto. It's out growing my refugium, ac50. I'd like to half it. It's about grapefruit sized. So figure a big golf ball portion could be yours. I'd prefer local pickup/deliver I'm in the salem oregon area. Link to comment

Neebles Posted February 25, 2015 Share Posted February 25, 2015 I wouldn't bother taking it to the LFS. It's not like flushing a fish or something, it's kind of like mowing the lawn, at least that's how I look at it. If no one wants it, I would just toss it. Link to comment
righttirefire Posted February 25, 2015 Author Share Posted February 25, 2015 Neebles. I'm new to this. I got a 20h and the chaeto is bursting out the seams of my ac50. Wish I would have gotten the ac110. But how much should I keep to keep my nitrates down? It's a 24/7 light cycle and in 2 weeks has gained a solid 1" of growth. Maybe "trim" 1/3? Link to comment
