GokesReef
Hey guys! Just picked up a BRS GFO & Carbon reactor and am having some conflicting thoughts about where to mount it. Specifically with concerns about siphoning. Worth noting is that I am not running a sump, that would make this too easy! The first question is - running a sumpless setup, do I even need to worry about siphoning? If the pump gets turned off it would siphon back.. into itself. Right? So, the standard wisdom is to mount it at or above water level which is easy enough, but could be a bit of an eyesore next to a DT. So, I was considering installing it in the tank stand and popping a few anti-siphon holes in the return tubing - does anyone feel there would be an issue with this? Will the MJ1200 be strong enough to push the water down, through the media, and back into the tank (and does anyone know if the MJ1200 fits nicely in the back of an IM Nuvo Fusion 20?) Other thoughts? Thanks folks! Link to comment
