eclipse 3 lighting HELP!!

I plan on setting up my eclipse 3 as a nano. I would like to keep soft corals such as zoos, polyps, lower light needing corals. The guy at the LFS told me he has the same set up and he is running the stock lights and is having great results. 1st, do I really need to up grade? 2nd, I have seen a lot of ideas on how to upgrade the lighting, but I want to know the easiest. I am not much of a handy man, so I need to keep it simple if I do upgrade. I would also welcome any other ideas that will help make this experience a good one.
