How important is ramp up/down on frag tank?

I'm planning on setting up a frag tank here in the next few days. It is a 10g tank w/ an aquamana 165w led panel, a little overkill I know but it'll be dimmed manually significantly. My question though does it matter if the lightening is on instantly with 80%-full output on sunrise/sunset. I know a ramp up/down(sunrise/sunset) is important in reef aquariums w/ fish and corals so it doesnt shock them, but I wanted to know if it'll matter with a frag tank setup.

ramp up and down is not important at all, it's solely for the viewer. reef tanks have been running MH and T5HO on On/Off timers for years.

there have been some discussions on its importance but from everything I've read it's just a nice novelty and allows us to run longer hours with lights on.

The only benefit I notice from ramp up/down is I don't startle the fish when the lights come on. Otherwise there is no strong evidence to support you will get better growth/results.
