Hi everyone,

I'm watching nano-reef a long time, so I decided to make thread about my 15 gallon reef tank that I'm starting now.

Dimensions and some informations:

main tank: 60x30x40 cm with drilled overflow 32" used with T and 90° knee fittings

filtration tank: 55x30x30 cm

Wooden stand - 62x42x74cm

T5 2x39W ATI blue, white

Circulation pump NewJet 800

Skimmer? Not sure yet

Heater 55W EcoSystem

CO2 system - maby

DIY osmolator

White piping of course :D

I decided to make mixed reef: SPS, zoas, discosomas, 2 or 3 soft corals - sinularia green and sarcopython and some gorgonia.

lysmata amboinensis - 2pcs

Amphiprion ocellaris - 2pcs

Nemateleotris decora - 2pcs

Nothing more - just simple nice nano reef tank

Pictures will be added tomorrow.

See ya

George

So today I work on piping of overflow and return pipes.

For overflow I used 1 cale piping and for return 1/2 cale.

All piping is toggether, but not glued yet.

But before I put filtration tank inside wooden stand I must use silicone to glue one partition in filter tank, that separate RO water from salt water system.

I was thinking about my circulation pump NJ800, must exchanged for NJ1200.

I know these pumps are not so "good" and powerfull, but for this system it's OK. Normaly when I do instalations at customers house I use Abbyz pumps, but these are for much more bigger systems.

Also I put black background on main tank. Blue background is OK but for me OLD and not so atractive... but everyone like his own way of look ;)

Must also buy PVC bushing for overflow... but that is a detail :D .

Hope to put some photos here tomorrow

So what type of salt I'm going to use?

Well, long years I used Tropic Marine Pro Reef and also Reef crystal but my neighbor is useing Red Sea Pro Coral.

His doing regular water changes every second week and his coral are day by day bigger, stronger and colorful.

Last years I did also watter changes regular water changes at customers reefs with TM salt but not so good results.

So I decide to use RS Pro Coral salt for my own use but also for my customers.

Does anyone here also useing Red Sea salt? What is your oppinion on it?

Thank you.
