Mhcblues119
looks like some sort of brittle star to me Link to comment
Bingo1213
It looks like a brittle star or a serpent starfish. The difference being that brittle stars get much larger, up to 12+ inches across. Serpent starfish are harmless and most would agree brittle starfish are harmless as well. Some say brittles will eat small fish when they get larger but I currently have a giant one in with lots of small fish. He has been in my tank for 2 or more years now and I have yet to ever have a fish go missing. Link to comment

frankdr
Definitely a keeper. They are fun to watch as they scoot around on all their rays.. Nice bands. Do you think it hitched on some live rock? Link to comment
TassieGirl
Well I guess he did hitch on some live rock - although its taken him quite a while to show his little face Link to comment
Bingo1213
I have had serpent starfish come in on live rock before. I have tons of little blackish grey ones in my tank. Great cleaners!!! Link to comment
