kimberbee
Following! I've been eyeing this tank but it didn't seem like there were many out there. I'm glad a few people picked them up on Black Friday sale so I can follow along and see how people like the tank! Link to comment

Gooburz
My parents are amazed by that little tank and they urged me get something bigger...So I did and together we plan on creating something beautiful. That also works out so when I'm away at school I wont have any worries because they want to learn! Amazing how contagious this hobby is.. It is crazy how contagious the hobby is. I've bought corals and fish that my wife has been wanting/liking and now she looks at the tank more than I do and even feeds them before I get the chance too! Link to comment
ml86743
Its crazy! But its such a good outlet...Just to get away from life for a couple hours. Nothing but positivity comes from reef tanks especially if you treat it well. Link to comment

Nothing but positivity comes from reef tanks especially if you treat it well. Not according to my mom!! I was telling her how some corals and fish dont play well together, that sometimes hermits forcibly evict snails from their shells, and showed her how I feed my fish brine shrimps... She thinks it's too stressful!!! Link to comment
vlangel
Ha ha, I love the peaceful feeling I get when sitting in front of my tank but then I start noticing that this rock should be turned to the left just a bit and O yeah, I missed that algae on the glass and hey, I haven't heard my snapping shrimp for awhile and I wonder if the giant brittle star ate him? LOL Link to comment
ml86743
All part of the hobby, did a slight rescape so i'll put some pictures up later..Can't wait to transfer some of my stuff from other tank...My BT has been on the fritz looking for a new home..Need a damn baby sitter for those guys. I have a constant fear of him getting sucked up in the overflow on the bottom of my cadlight. Really really really stupid place to stick an overflow... Link to comment

ml86743
This tank is awesome Thanks I appreciate it! As much as I love your setup.. I hate to say but you're killing me with that HOB skimmer. Hahah trust me, I feel the same way..More like HOS (hang on side), but I have to say the skimmer is very effective it just wont fit in the back chamber...I was considering upgrading to the model with the external pump but I just don't have the extra cash right now. ml86743
Small Update: There is a very small patch or cyano on the torch rock and hasn't spread for about a week...hoping the WC's will rid the system of the stuff in time. Quick Level Check Nitrates: 0ppm Phosphates: Undetectable Ammonia:0ppms Calcium:500+Mag:1500+ pH:8.4 Alk: 10.6 I need to adjust my 2 part dosing schedule, still working out the proper amounts and when the addition is necessary. Have had some great grown from my montis and the acros seem to be happy! Good PE and color. HUNGRY LOBO:):) Link to comment
ml86743
Update: I've finally been able to dial in my dosing schedule. Now, my Alk sits around 10.3 during the day and drops slightly to 9.6ish during the night. Ca sits at about 500 and my Mg is unusually high, 1500+. Not sure what exactly is happening there, I tested my change water with Coral Pro salt mix and the Mg is right around 1350. Besides that, I've had the typical diatom outbreaks and small patches of cyano witch I diligently blast and vacuum. Now, I am very excited to say I am the proud owner of my new favorite fish! The Green Mandarin. AND SHE IS TRAINED ON FROZEN MYSIS:) She eats like a champ 3 times a day and goes nuts for the stuff! I rotate the mysis and Dr G's caviar max and throw in some of Dr G's pod max. She is the sweetest most peaceful animal I've ever had the pleasure of owning and I can see why many fall in love. Since I have increased feedings I needed to up my WC frequency to roughly 15 gallons spread out through the week to combat algae outbreaks. Quick photo of my darlin':) Link to comment
