Sounds like either unstable Alk or a rapid drop in PO4.  Did either happen?

I had a rapid increase in Po4. I did have a random spike in alk from 6.7-7.0 to 7.7. Since my 7.7 reading, I've let the alk drop down naturally back to 7.0. Truthfully, I feel like the damage is done and all I can do is keep parameters as stable as possible.

Did you ever find a frag?

You can add me to that list if you end up fragging some. Maybe when you try and get it off that frag rack? lol

Katropora frags under 100 to 125 PAR.  Scraggly but colored up quite well.

I can't fit the original in a picture anymore.  Here's the front half.

Do some reason my Katropora seems to Only grow in an encrusting pattern, any advice to get to to start to branch more?

It tends to do that to gain surface area and will then shoot up. How long has it been since it started encrusting?

I’ll have to get some pictures up.

Hopefully I do better this time. Starting with a much smaller frag. I wish I had the original, that one had a good start with a fully encrusted plug and several growth tips.

A year, it’s covering a portion of rock about the size of a baseball.

Yeah - your first frag was a beast

One of my Katroporas have claimed 50% of my frag rack. I'm completely torn and conflicted on what to do. Its covered the rack and grown onto the tank as well. Looks super funky.
