Dramad1
Nice! Equip list looks awesome, wish I had the doe to get a few of the items listed. Liking your photography as well. Nice upgrades on the ro/di unit, my filters are in need of replacing and I have the same list filter wise, should lengthen the life of the membrane for sure. Awesome stuff, following Link to comment
aquakevem
nice list of equipment, cant wait to see what you come up with. nice pics too Thank you, sir. You have a strong collection of images of your tank, assuming your top down images are above the surface of water, porthole? I plan to acquire a top-down porthole by Avast Marine once i start to stock my tank. http://www.avastmarine.com/ssc/do/product/rigging/Top-Down-Porthole-XL Very nice expensive equipment list, I love my avast ato pressure switch also, did you get the float switch also? Very nice pictures also. Interesting direction with your bonsai tank, following. Ha! I actually have the first generation(?) grey-colored version, without the float valve. How is the backup float switch working for you? Speaking of ATO.. I need to source a container to reserve my freshwater or fabricate my own with acrylic, blue fluorescent acrylic. Nice! TDS appears to fluctuate roughly between 170-190 PPM(20774) throughout the year. I am curious to see how these upgraded filters go before near exhaustion. Marine Depot's 15% off on RO/DI replacement filters helped a bit. Link to comment

aquakevem
Again, lots of nice equip, cant wait to see the tank Excited for this to get wet! Lets do this..............FOLLOWING Progress.. Installing my RO/DI system in my washer and dryer room. I'll need an extra four feet of 1/4" polyethylene tube to feed my RO/DI system from the cold water tap line, possibly a pressure gauge will be added somewhere in between. I need to find the time to grab my RO/DI 'Virgin' reservoir from Abbey Drum Company this week. Link to comment
aquakevem
So.. Instead of driving out to Baltimore to pickup a 30 Gallon drum for $75. I found a 30 Gallon HDPE drum on Amazon.com for $42.95 Float valve - installed. Utilizing an old Eheim 1048 pump to feed/deliver freshwater to saltwater mixing tanks and so on, debating if i want to run this pump externally. Link to comment
disaster999
Do you give all your photo the HRD treatment or you just increase the shadow sensitivity all the way up? Link to comment
Dramad1
At least now you can take the whole lid off for easy access for cleaning and pump access. Another nice pick up! Link to comment
RollaJase
Love this build so far. Great planning, great gear and fantastic photography. Link to comment
aquakevem
Do you give all your photo the HRD treatment or you just increase the shadow sensitivity all the way up? It's all about the lighting, though. I have decreased the shadows and increased highlights by a small percentage. All of the images so far have been captured with a Nikon D800 - NIKKOR 50mm 1.4D, single SB910 Speedlight mounted in a Profoto RFI 3' octa softbox. I made the investment in lighting a few months back and MAN.. It's exciting stuff! At least now you can take the whole lid off for easy access for cleaning and pump access. Another nice pick up! Yeah, you're right. Ha! avoided that headache.. Though, doubt i'll even use the lever lock that came with it. When you lock down the lid it creates a air tight seal, forcing air through the float valve and eventually throughout my RO/DI system(?) Link to comment
