vanillabox
http://lifesci.lscf.ucsb.edu/~biolum/organ...m/dinohome.html The above link has Dinoflagellate cultures for sale, and I was wondering if anybody has used this as a food source for there food stuff for filter feeders? Link to comment
mxpro32
i didnt see anything that mentioned using them as food. have you heard of this before? if it was safe it would be neat to have the water glow at night when disturbed. Link to comment
Mr Spam
It would be a neet exparament to try and culture these however, its not needed for an aquarium. regularly adding DT's ot kentphytoplex or another genaric brand would be better, and get a larger variety of life. You can also culture your own phyto, that would be more suitable for an aquarium. Link to comment
Toyfreek
I'm confused I have been spending years trying to rid my self of dino's and you are trying to grow them? Read this article by Dr. Ron Shimek. http://www.animalnetwork.com/fish2/aqfm/19.../wb/default.asp I'm not sure what the exact species you are considering is (I didn't spend much time on thier site) But I would be carefull adding these to any reef tank.
