Got the first of a few boxes in today, had my light for my 8g, which I'll review in that thread.

For this tank, however, it has the ReefKeeper Lite Marine Depot bundle, which came with the PH probe and an expansion unit, as well as the Hydor Smart Level ATO and an aqualifter pump. I'll have a review and setup pictures of everything sometime tomorrow, probably. I should also be getting my other box of goodies tomorrow, along with all of the coral I ordered.

Nice, I'm going Saturday to pick up my first fish, I sent an email today to see about getting a Helfrichi's Firefish and a yasha goby. Hopefully I can pick them up then, I'm sick of looking at an empty tank!

I love how well my clowns get along with the fairy. I think it's because they haven't been in the tank that long, and there was nothing for them to claim, as it's only rock and sand. Whenever I feed them, they start swimming around together. I'll be sure to get some videos up after I get my canon in the mail.

Anywho, enjoy some photos!

Just curious why you went with the Reefkeeper instead of the Apex? I'm looking at them and I like that the Reefkeeper Lite is cheaper but it seems to be missing some features and expandability.

Got my camera, woot! However I still hate UPS, as my second box got delayed a day for no apparent reason. >.< Stopped by my LFS and picked up a small golden aussie torch, and a green frogspawn, both are still not fully opened, but I'll post some pictures in a few. Also picked up a Reef Foundation Pro test kit, and my results were pretty decent.

OOOOOO Thanks mate!

I know my LFS here sells the Nuvo 16's but I've never seen the 20's yet... They sell the 16's are like $399 though so I dunno how much markup the 20's will be :(

Have they always sold the 16's at $399?

Set up the MiniMax Media Reactor, right now I just have carbon running it, just to get a feel for it. Very high quality construction. And simply plug and play.

Those corals look great. I am enjoying watching your tank grow....btw - did your tank go through the typical algae blooms during/after the cycle? Your pics seem to show an algae free tank from start to finish and hoping you could share any secrets?

It never really got any blooms. I used CaribSea Real Reef Rock, wet sand, and a bottle of BioSpira. Kept the lights off for most of the time until I got coral.

I've got a question too, how do you like the light, my rapid led light was lost in the mail so I'm looking for other options, do the acans like it?

I love it, would highly recommend it, as well as getting the upgraded 120 degree lens kit, give the light a nicer spread. As far as the acans go, they seem ok, still too soon for any signs of growth, but I haven't noticed anything wrong with them.

Here's a few pics. The skimmer is going in tomorrow morning.

Your gonna wanna go to walmart and grab some filter floss to stop the micro bubbles. I still have it in mine and I've had it running for about a week. No more micro bubbles but I think it's mostly due to the filter floss. The bubbles have definitely started going away at the very least because in the beginning even the filter floss was not stopping them! It's only $3 at Walmart in the crafts section, it's just pillow stuffing. You probably know this already but wanted to let you know in case you didn't.

And I plug in the skimmer, and nothing happens. Take apart the pump, make sure nothings jammed, reassemble it, and still nothing. >.< Just emailed Marine Depot about it.

Got an email from IM, they are processing sending me another pump. Even though this whole situation sucks, the customer service and the fact that Marine Depot & Innovative Marine communicate between each other on behalf of the customer is incredible.

Alright, scratch that. Last night I took the pump apart, and let it soak in vinegar over night, I just rinsed it off, put it back together, and now it's working. So I'm guessing something was just stuck maybe. So now I have it up and running.
