kriskristofferzen
I already have an apex instead of buying the radion and a reeflink, how hard is it to program Lighting with the apex and save 100 bucks? Just curious I'm. It great at programming and Wondering if the reef link will make it easier. I use the neptunes fusion, is it compatible for ease of use With the radion? Thanks Link to comment
kriskristofferzen
Ok so who uses reef link? Who uses apex to control lights? I saw BRS highlight the Apex fusion to control lights like the radion it looks pretty nice. What do folks think of the reefing who have it? Link to comment

Right now thr Radion can be had with a Reeflink for 1/2 off... IMHO Radion will continue to release upgrades for the Reeflink as well as new features. Any future products will likely work with the Reeflink as well. Im considering adding a Reeflink to my order as I just ordered the XR15W Reeflink will also allow you to control MP Pumps as well... rchraska
I just got my Reeflink yesterday and still need to hook it up to my Radion and Vortechs. So I can't really comment on it, but I share the same thoughts as Steensj2004. I would imagine that Ecotech has a bigger plans for the Reeflink out side of just interfacing and controlling the their lights and pumps. Link to comment
Kirk_M
Keep it all apex controlled. Fewer devices to worry about, and everything controlled from the same interface. Apex can control your mp pumps as well. You need the WXM module add on for the apex. It will control the pumps and the Radions. Link to comment

Honestly after using the Apex demo, Reeflink and other controllers, I am sold on the reeflink, especially since it can be had for $100. I would put my money on that, try it out and if it doesn't work for you; I'm sure you will be able to sell it for what you paid for it on your local forum and get the WXM. As far as control and updates I don't think you will do anything but love it. I just wish Ecotech would release a full reef controller now...... Link to comment
Steensj2004
I love mine, you can have the ReefLink change modes, speed, and durstion in that mode in a 24 hour period. Mine switches every 4 hours or so. Ultimate control , and you can use a DropCam camera and integrate into your ReefLink.... Voila! You can see your tank remotely 24/7 Link to comment
StrainedSky
I have both the WXM and Reeflink. For the Radion control I use the Reeflink, it's much easier and fluid. The reason I have the WXM is I use that for my Vortechs so I can use the feed mode on the apex and have it shutdown/startup/delay my skimmer, return and ect.....You can also use a webcam with the Apex, my problem with the dropcam is your camera have to be public in order to work. khuzdul
ReefLink looks slick and easy to use. It may do more in the future, I think that an easy next step for them would be to roll the AI director into Reeflink since they merged at the beginning of the year! Until it does more, I'm with the APEX / WXM camp... Link to comment
masterbuilder
Me too. I'm in the WXM/Fusion/Apex camp. I don't see anything that one does that the other doesn't. I like having everything controlled by one simple system. The Apex/Fusion interface seems to be further down the road and slightly more refined than EcoTechs interface. EcoTech is fairly new to web based control and is still further down on the learning curve.....but probably not for long. In the end its a Ford vs. Chevy thing. Link to comment
