It's a good amount of turnover for your tank but I would still worry about dead spots with no powerheads. Unless during water changes you make it a habit of blowing off your rock with a turkey baster or something to help get rid of some of the built up detritus.

No. Look into a tiny pump, like the wp10 or one of the Korelia nanos.

^ Go with a Wp10, it's small and powerful. Have one in my 20 tall. Without a pump, you're going to have trouble keeping up with detritus buildup. I use else mode on my Wp10, keeps my rock and sand bed super clean. Haven't had to blow my rock off since I purchased it. I use a AC50 and Wp10.
