I have been in this hobby for about 8 years now and since then I haven't look back and I never will. This is the first time that I'm posting the progress in a forum and I am very excited about it so I hope you guys enjoy this adventure with me I want this tank to be a soft coral only tank because is easy to keep and I love the look too,.I'm not sure if I'm gonna be introducing a fish in such a small tank but I take recommendations from you guys. Today I checked equipment and leaks and so far everything works just fine. Link to comment

jservedio
Do you think that I will need a protein skimmer for this tank?for what I know soft corals doesn't like too clean water'' No need at all for such a small tank. Keep it as simple as possible with a pico. Big water changes weekly or smaller ones twice weekly. With a tank this small, keep your "rockwork" to a single rock or a couple rocks that you can pull out completely in 1 or 2 pieces easily since the tank is nearly impossible to clean when it is full. You would be surprised what you can keep in such a small tank - don't just limit yourself to softies because they are "easy". My 2g is 50-50 between LPS and softies and have even had 2 montis in there for around 5 months. As long as you change your water diligently and spot feed your corals, the little tank will thrive and be by far, the easiest tank you ever kept. Link to comment
