Mr. Schertz
I am on the fence to purchase the marine land 60 rimless cube(24x24x24). I can't decide to go with the reef ready or standard tank. I was thinking of the basic tank and using a strong circulation pump and hang on back skimmer. I planned to start the tank off with some dry rock from marco rocks. Its gonna be a fish, live rock and macro algae tank. I want to have lots of fish in it and don't want to mess with a reef right now. What are your thought? I'm very open to suggestions. Bobyboy
Reef ready is the way to go, if you want a lot of fish you will need a sump with room for a good quality skimmer plus it's always nice to have a clean display and keep your hardware out of sight. Link to comment
Mr. Schertz
Will a ten gallon tank work for a sump? Im trying to save money when and where I can. Link to comment
Bobyboy
Will a ten gallon tank work for a sump? Im trying to save money when and where I can. I'd go with at least a 20g, and they aren't that much more than a 10g. IMO a sump should be 20-40% of the display. Link to comment
