Premiumaq
When you ask folks what they think of Fiji Liverock, you'll hear a lot of complaints about dense boulders, shapeless hunks of heavy stone that were transported on a long ocean journey to arrive completely devoid of life. That's not the case with Premium Aquatics' air-freighted Fiji rock! Our Fiji rock is harvested from an exclusive collection site. Half of each 4000lb container is dedicated to Premium Aquatics, the other half goes to a wholesale-only re-seller... That means we get an undisturbed ton of fresh rock from each shipment - it has not been sorted, or had the best pieces cherry-picked by vendors on the coast. This rock spends only about 48 hours in transit before being loaded into our curing pool, and the short trip prevents much die-off. The shapes are fantastic, as this video will demonstrate. We had 3 random pieces pulled from the pool to show everyone what REAL Fiji rock should look like.Check out the video, and have your mind changed about Fiji Liverock! Premium Aquatics is THE source for single-stop, air-freighted Fiji rock. Link to comment
pyrokidd89
I bought about 23 lbs a month or so ago and i can say it has lots of unique shapes......but also had a bristle worm and some peanut worms. the peanuts are fine but i dont like the bristle worm and cant seem to catch him. but the rock is coloring up nicely. Jimmyboo
How much would you recommend for a 2 gallon "cookie jar" tank (10" x 10"x 14"). I'm going uncured here. Im guessing 3lb Also, I am in New England (Boston), can I still do ground shipping if I take the $7 box too. I do not want to spend $30 on 2nd day air etc. Best, JB Link to comment
Premiumaq
jimmyboo: I'd say about a pound to two would be fine - the rock is not very dense. You can request a small insulated box for the $7 charge, and that box can be shipped per your instructions as UPS Ground. You should see it the 2nd day anyway, since you're in such a close UPS Zone. (Not a guarantee, but they're usually really good about meeting their 2-day-ground zones) Link to comment

I dont want it getting stuck somewhere over the weekend and "rotting." Also, would you recommend the insulated box? Link to comment
