Some look like some of the adults in the tank but others have colors none of the adults have. 1 Quote Link to comment

SavaS
Read all 96 pages after I got two RFAs last week, great info. I plan to set up a RFA Pico in the next few weeks. Here are my two, not super rare but unique in their own way. 3 Quote Link to comment

He decided to float over to where I moved it lol. And of course it's in the back left corner. He's such an ass lol. 1 Quote Link to comment

SavaS
So here are some pictures of the new nems. At the store there isn't any blue light on them so they look pretty bland. In the tank they look amazing, lots of neon-ish color around the mouth and tentacles. This guy was a little pushy at first... Is it just me or do these tentacles look like sexy shrimp? Also, set up a Pico for a friend and she picked out a RFA of her very own, I added it to the tank for her today. 3 Quote Link to comment
jet915
Found some babies! I found the first one about a month ago. These two I discovered last week. Both are facing away from the front of the tank so I had to take a pic from the side and zoom in with my cell phone camera. Very fuzzy. Never witnessed a spawning event so not sure if I just bought one that was pregnant or not. Ive had rfas for about 4 months, isnt gestation 3 months? Either way very excited! 5 Quote Link to comment

I’d say 8-10 weeks given past experience-but I’m no expert. I have 9 new babies from the last spawn. They are so tiny. Was hoping for more but haven’t found any new ones in over a week so I think that will be all for now. 1 Quote Link to comment
SavaS
Came home from work yesterday and this guy had gone on a walk, ended up in the powerhead... Fortunately they are small, the hydor pico 180's, secondly they have a second grate inside I had to cut the outer adjustment grate into pieces to get it out The anemone seems to be fine, settled back on the bottom after a few minutes, I think a few tentacles were snipped but otherwise all is well. Maybe it wanted a haircut... I'll post a picture when I get home from work. 2 Quote Link to comment
ReefFish
Added another RFA yesterday. I think the more of them I get the more I seem to want to get 3 Quote Link to comment

I hope yours pulls through. Keep us posted. 1 Quote Link to comment
SavaS
He's spread himself out in a corner and I can't really get a picture, I think it's ok though considering the foot is well planted and it's extended. Everyone says theirs like to be close together, maybe snuggling, mine seem to want to block out the ones next to them, I'm pretty sure I have three almost stacked on each other. I really need to get the RFA only tank going. Quote Link to comment
coral reefer tx
Just getting back into the hobby. Added a couple of RFAs and they’ve stayed where I put them and all is well so far. A few years ago right before I sold the nano I had a couple of porcelain anemone crabs. When I added a RFA one of the crabs hosted it, but within a few days either a sexy shrimp or the anemone crab started nipping at the RFA. I remember thinking that it was the anemone crab. I do remember that the RFA closed up from the harassment and later died. I’d like to get a porcelain crab for this tank. I know there’s no guarantees, but RFA’s and porcelain anemone crabs normally have a true symbiotic relationship don’t they? Any feeding tricks to make sure both the hosting crab and RFA get fed at the same time? Edit: added pic. The two RFAs are on the left. 2 Quote Link to comment

I have a porcelain crab and it started out hosting my RFA and that lasted about a day lol. I bought them from the same tank pretty much right next to each other. Now my crab sorta hosts my acans. The porcelain crab shouldn't do anything to the nem as they do have a relationship. Through some reading I have found they like maxi minis though. Could be wrong on that. Quote Link to comment
coral reefer tx
Thanks. Guess I don’t so much care whether or not the crab hosts the RFA — just trying to be safe about not adding an invert harasses them too much. Porcelain crabs are my favorite invert, so hosting would be great, but I’ll settle for just having them get along. Quote Link to comment

My porcelain crab sits in his RFA all the time....and occasionally he chooses another. He’s been all over the tank in various nems with no problems. I usually will feed the crab first so he doesn’t harass the nem trying to steal its food. Quote Link to comment
