CoralCompulsion Posted February 26, 2014 Share Posted February 26, 2014 If you went with 120 degree optics, you should get close to complete coverage with the bulb about 8-10" from the water surface. It would definitely be enough light for LPS and softies. Any sps should be ok, so long as it is in the middle of the tank. Ideally, for 10g tanks, we usually recommend people use 2 of the 14w par30s. It gives more complete coverage, and higher par values, as you are not spreading the light as far. Link to comment
