waldoz
I know you guys put the AC70 on there. But would A 110 fit and drop the size down on the pump blade? Thanks for any info. Just kicking some ideas around right now. Edit: I don't even think the back of the tank is 13 1/2 inches. Quote Link to comment
SushiYum
I had a ac70 and that almost fit edge to edge on the picotope minus 2 inches? Ac110 is also very tall Quote Link to comment
waldoz
Thanks I know its kinda crazy but I had to ask I want to cram a tunze skimmer in there LOL. Quote Link to comment
Roshan8768
Why do you need a skimmer? Just do water changes, best form of nutrient export in a tank that small... what are you planning on having in there? Quote Link to comment
waldoz
10 clown fish... Nah I was just curious I will prob go with a 20L and a ac110 if its in my budget. I know intank has one for the ac110. Still working on my spread sheet for tank sizes vs cost ect. Prob going overboard but I like to know how things work out on paper. Quote Link to comment
Roshan8768
Cool, that makes more sense Quote Link to comment
.Newman.
the AC110 will not fit on the picotope...the AC70 barely fits. the ac110 barely fits a TEN GALLON. (which is what i used for my 10 gallon). you can't even cut the AC110 to fit.. Quote Link to comment
waldoz
Do you have a link to your build? I have seen some 10gl sw set ups that look pretty good. Quote Link to comment
.Newman.
you want a link to the 10gal? it's retired now but here you go: http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/241187-newmans-10-gallon-piece-of-ocean/ Quote Link to comment
jbb
Smallest tank the 110 will fit on is a standard 5.5 gallon . It leaves just enough room for a float switch to the side . Quote Link to comment
waldoz
Ok, one other question. So AC70, I have tried to see if anyone has used a surface skimmer for this like the one that badfish made? or is that way overkill for something this small? Quote Link to comment
SushiYum
http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/260011-sushiyum-3gal-picotope/ I made my own surface skimmer Quote Link to comment
