sump less 55g build

so im putting together a 55g build and i dont wanna drill so i was wondering wats every ones opinions on good hob skimmers and if i shld even run hob filters and lighting options for the tank?

Do you not want to drill or do you just not want a sump? Because there are plenty of options to run a sump without drilling.

Id say if the tank is 5 years or newer i wouldnt even attempt to drill. Like chew said hob overflows have come a long way and can help u run a sump. Next. Lighting, what kind of tank? Mixed reef, softy, sps, fowlr... we need more info. Haha 4 bulb t5 would be a good start. Or halides. I love my halides. Leds are nice but im not sold. That's a whole nother topic though. Lol.
