Currently enjoying a nice diatoms bloom. I also put this piece of live rock into my scape complete with the nice clumps of hair algae. Let's see where this goes...

Looks good so far fts when possible... Livestock ideas?

Hoping to get things moved around later this week in order to get a FTS.

As far as livestock goes...

I have 2 Ocellaris Clowns that will be rehomed into this tank from my Spec V.

I'm also thinking about an Atlantic Pygmy Angel and a Yellow Watchman/Pistol Shrimp combo, or a Randalls Goby/Pistol Shrimp. Maybe... one Banggai Cardinal. I'd also like to add either a Blood Red Shrimp, a Scarlet Skunk Cleaner - or maybe a peppermint shrimp. (well... in other words - one big shrimp... you get the idea) (Looking to have 4 to 5 fish total)

I have about 5-7 small pieces of live rock with different Zoas on them in my Spec V that I'll be moving over as well. Then I was thinking about maybe a torch, hammer or frogspawn... maybe a candycane... maybe some sort of plating coral, maybe a duncan coral. Also looking for maybe a couple Maxi-Minis too.

I picked up this tank used for $100. I got the tank, two Skkye LED lights, the 211 GPH pump and the neat little pedistal. The glass is pretty scratched up, but hey... it holds water, everything works and it was cheap !

Made the big move today... Moved all my livestock from my Spec V to the Nuvo 16. And then moved all my Spec livestock over to the Spec V. And then... retired the Spec reef.

Ugh... I picked up a Royal Gramma today... drip acclimated it for 45 minutes and put it in the tank. It swam right into a hole in my live rock. It looks like it's stuck, but I'm not totally sure. It's head is sticking out about 1/4", and I can see it's still breathing. Ugh...

It's a 16.

My Royal Gramma is out of the rock. It's sitting on the rock right now, after being in it for almost four hours. Hopefully it recovers soon.

Made a small media basket earlier while I was waiting on the Gramma to come out if the live rock. Put a little bit of chaeto in one of the bays in the back.

In time I'll buy one of those pretty inTank media baskets.

Aaannnnddd... It's back in that tiny hole. At least I know it can get out. When it was out of the hole last night, it was acting more like a goby, perching on the rock, than swimming around. Hopefully it gets more used to it's new home today and comes out at feeding time.

Feeling more comfortable in the tank once it realized it was feeding time. Gramma actually spent most of the day swimming near the Clowns.

Picked up this Tiger Pistol Shrimp I found at one of the LFS I visit, today.

(The plan is to add a Yellow Watchman Goby, to hang with this guyin the near future.)

My mini refugium expirament in one of the chambers in the rear... Put some rubble rock under my egg crate chaeto basket.

Deep Blue SolarFlare Micro LED 6,700K Daylight (one High intensity 3W LED lamp) for lighting on it's own timer.

In time I'll pick up a few of those fance inTank media baskets for the tank. For now this should work just fine.

My Royal Gramma hasn't strayed much from the base rock on the right. It's getting a little more comfortable after two days in the tank. I'm happy to see it out and swimming with the pair of Clowns. It's not afraid to get in there and mix it up come feeding time either, which is nice to see.

Does your roya gramma swim upside down? Mine will do this once in a while. Mine also gets inside the LR so tight that sometimes I think it's dead, but it's not. These fish have a strange behavior.

When I brought it home a couple days ago, it swam right into a small hole and I could swear it was stuck. For four hours it was like that, and I was like great how am I going to get it out of the rockwithout killing it... gonna be dead by morning. But when I did a little feeding it came right out to get a few tiny pieces of brine. By morning it was back in that same hole, and I knew it could at least get out. Ever since it's been out when the lights are on, and in the hole once they go off. I don't think it's ventured more than six inches from that same rock yet. It does get right up next to the clowns at times. Getting braver... It's been interesting so far.

Alright, wsh me luck, bought my first SPS colra today, a Montipora. I've been eyeing this piece of Monti for over a month at my LFS, finally pulled the trigger on it today. Also bought a small frag of Whammin' Watermelon Zoas, with 6 polyps on it. The zoas are on the little rubble laying behind on the lewer left in this pic. They're not open in the pic though.

Open to suggestions as to where to mount the Monti in the pic below, when it's time.

My new tiger pistol shrimp is quite the sand mover. I may have to make 6-8 small clear acrylic pedistals to glue under two of my pieces of live rock to keep them from tipping over, from alll the digging. The other day, I crumbled up some of my leftover dry rock and dropped it into the tank, so the shrimp could use it for building caves.

Someone's busy this morning. I pulled out two rocks to glue acrylic risers on them to keep them from tipping over from my Tiger pistol, and now it's digging under a different rock. Hopefully it'll go back to where it was. I guess I should get around to mounting my Montipora before the shrimp covers it up, or at least move it over.

Got a Yellow Watchman on order for my pistol too !

Just that quick he moved back under his "fortress" rock. Whew.
