mmelnick
I'm going to be setting up a 125 gallon mixed reef. The dimensions are 72"L 18"W 21"H Are there any budget friendly LED options? What will I need to be able to keep at least a few of the less demanding SPS? I've kept a couple reefs in teh past and am fairly familiar with lighting for smaller tanks. But 20 gallons is the biggest reef tank I've had yet and this tank is far from that... I'm a fan of the fish need it fixture on my 24" tank. It looks like I could throw a couple 36" 4 bulb t5HO fixtures on the 125 gal for about $250. Will that be enough for a 21" deep tank? Will I need to throw metal halide into the mix? Any other suggestions? Link to comment
heifinator
DIY will be your cheapest option by far. I would recommend LEDgroupbuy, they can make it as brain dead easy as you want it to be. Link to comment
