picoreef78
It's been a while. Still dealing with low pH. Need to recalibrate the doser. Thinking of getting the Pax-Bellum chaetomorpha grower, I don't think putting anything in my sump will be enough. Quote Link to comment

picoreef78
Traded in a large frag of mystic Sunset montipora for a small Jedi Mindrick Montipora undated and Acropora Sarmentosa. I am going to have to start fragging soon I think, just hate to break everything up. 2 Quote Link to comment
reefernanoman
Traded in a large frag of mystic Sunset montipora for a small Jedi Mindrick Montipora undated and Acropora Sarmentosa. I am going to have to start fragging soon I think, just hate to break everything up. I hate to frag my corals too. We need a FTS with all those new nice frags! Your previous FTS pic looked nice. 1 Quote Link to comment

markalot
So you've been doing this at least a year longer than I have ... maybe this is my year. I'd also like to see a new FTS. Quote Link to comment
picoreef78
Had dosing pump erros over dosing alk. GFO disaster (I was even using 1/2 the minimum dose), daily hydrometer, and then ??? WTF. picoreef78
Has anyone bought from Legendary Corals? Carols look nice but coloration on there webpage does not look real. Worth the purchase, I was specifically looking at Zoa's and Paly's. Quote Link to comment
picoreef78
Took the plunge and boat a boat load of Zoa's from Legendary Corals. One thing that really is missing from the tank. TSG watermelon Psammacora Pink Zippers LC Mango Tangos Tyree Orange Rainbows LC Twilights LC Golden Nightmares LC Alice in Wonderlands Halle Berries I really liked the Sunny D Palythoas, but alas they did not have any. 1 Quote Link to comment
picoreef78
Just got the order from Legendary Corals. I was a bit skeptical on the photo's they show, lots of excellent marketing. I have to say I am impressed. Packing was really clean and well marked. The corals look phenomenal! IMG_8258 by Alejandro Magadan, on Flickr Love the Hi-Chews!! 2 Quote Link to comment

picoreef78
Just upgrade to the new Radion G4. Overall looks the same, will keep an eye on the shaded regions for a better color up. Quote Link to comment
picoreef78
Been off line for quite a while. Tank has been through a move and a crash now regrowing. Wife is threatening to upgrade the tank mainly to clean up all the wiring so the biggest contenders are a Redsea Max S 500 or a RedSea Reefer XL 425. The S 500 is in the lead because of the integrated power center. Will show off a full tank shot and ask for experience with the Hydra 26HD that come with the Max S 500. c%o4%BBWTmyvapNywXutMQ by Alejandro Magadan, on Flickr 3 Quote Link to comment
Christopher Marks
Hey welcome back @picoreef78! 👋 Glad to see your system is still up and running, despite the troubles! How long has it been since the crash? A RedSea system would really be a sweet upgrade! Since you've been away I've made it even easier to share Flickr photos, you can simply paste the Flickr 'share link' into the editor here, and it should automatically embed the photo. 🙂 Quote Link to comment
picoreef78
Thanks. Stressing between a reefer where I can use by Radion light vs the simplicity of the Max S 500 where all the power cords can be hidden. I can also hide vortices on the back of the reefer to increase flow. Quote Link to comment
picoreef78
It has been about a year on a half. Also busy with work/life tank neglected a bit. Now everything looking good, great polyp extension. Will need to get some good pics. Quote Link to comment

vlangel
Gourgeous tank and pics! I had to smile when I saw how big your tank is and you are planning an upgrade but your username is picoreef78! 1 Quote Link to comment
picoreef78
So it begins. 6 years on the Cad Lights 50 gallon (46) tank. 3 moves, 3 crashes (with the moves) and two years of neglect. Both are Pico reefs, relatively speaking, compared to real reefs. IMG_0776 by Alejandro Magadan, on Flickr Quote Link to comment
picoreef78
Tank official down and going to be cleaned and hopefully sold. Thank you Cadlights 50G Artisan II. Provided 6 years of mostly successful reefing. Quote Link to comment
