sam_the_reefer
She lives another day! Was able to temporarily move to an area with power. 🙂 I did have ro use the smaller tank again because it's lighter and easier to transport and set up. Here she is in her original tank again barebottom. 9 2 Quote Link to comment
pal
So happy you found somewhere with power. What an ordeal. 3 Quote Link to comment
debbeach13
Looks like the transfer went well. So glad to see you could set this up. 3 Quote Link to comment
Nano sapiens
Awesome! Good to see it up and running. 1 Quote Link to comment
sam_the_reefer
The power came back earlier than expected, so now she's back home. Behind this peaceful and easy looking tank are many struggles to heal from the disaster. The anemone did detach in the process of moving things back into the tank. She's now in a glass cup again and I've built a coral rubble throne around her. 3 1 Quote Link to comment

sam_the_reefer
Tank update, eveything is doing well. Latest FTS Most improved Happy couple I did lose the yellowtail damsel to the anemone. I'm considering a sixline wrasse for the third fish. 6 1 Quote Link to comment

That cynarina looks so puffy and healthy! 🥰 Sixline wrasse are actually very beautiful. They can get mean as they age, but I *think one small guy would actually work with the stocking you have now (just be careful that it doesn't accidently dive into that nem and get stuck). Love the shrooms hidden behind the cynarina too. Tank looks great! 😊👍 2 1 Quote Link to comment

You're right. Pink streaked wrasse then, should be less mean. I think the anemone got the yellowtail damsel because it was actually picking a fight with the clowns as it grew up. 2 Quote Link to comment

She was a wonderful fish - very peaceful, never bothered any of the other fish/corals/inverts, always active and quite vibrant too. You could look into other small, peaceful wrasses like a possum wrasse as well, if it's available in your area. 2 1 Quote Link to comment
sam_the_reefer
After water change. Still chugging along...will start feeding the anemone whole shrimp again. I haven't been feeding it since after the storm. 7 Quote Link to comment

sam_the_reefer
Just realized I didn't post a Christmas update for this tank, and it's been a while since I've posted any details. I've lost most of the shrooms (still not sure why), some were able to hold on, but the green ones were the most affected and I've managed to transfer some little bits of them to my macroalgae tank. Things have stabilized since, but still fighting off some stubborn turf algae on the zoa branches. Full tank shot showing all equipment 6 Quote Link to comment
Sharbuckle
A classically perfect nano reef! Always fun to visit this thread. Looks great, hope you can figure out what's killed the mushrooms. 1 Quote Link to comment

It does keep the hobby challenging as we try to figure out what's going on... Glad to see those bubbly orange Yumas are still doing okay! Quote Link to comment

sam_the_reefer
Tank's still chugging along, but I noticed something off and found out the uv and violet leds on my ai prime have gone kaput. Considering a budget light replacement as I can't afford a prime right now, maybe Nicrew 50w. Considering only the 2 colors running over 100% got busted, I guess overdriving greatly reduces the lifespan. 3 Quote Link to comment
Lebowski_
Yep, sadly it’s well known issue with the Primes. I’m told AI sells replacements but I get that it’s a pain. Another budget option is the Noopsyche K7 Mini. 1 Quote Link to comment
