gaker
I have an emerald crab who uses a toadstool for his nighttime bed. It's been doing this for the last week/week and a half or so. Around 10-11pm, he'll climb on the toadstool and it retracts in response. When we come out in the morning, this is what we find: http://stuff.gregaker.net/tank/emerald_crab_toadstool.jpg Should I care? It doesn't seem like the crab is picking at or irritating the toadstool. Thanks! Link to comment
Harrisonbored
mine does that to a Devils Finger Leather for a night or two before he molts. Link to comment
Caronte
As far as I know, only zoos can be in danger. I kept mine well feed and he never give me any trouble. They have very interesting behaviors thought Link to comment
Odyssey350kc
I can only say I had an emerald crab that ate almost every little green tip of of my toadstool. I had to get rid of the crab and it was nearly a week before my toadstool started extending its tentacles again. It doesn't look like he is bothering it though so i probably wouldn't worry to much unless you see him pick at it. Link to comment
